New Baby News

Hello to all... again...
We do still exist - we have just been extremely busy this time of year! It is amazing how the holidays come and time ceases to exist!
We thought we would share (again) a brief summary of our life to hit all the highpoints!

  • Eric took and passed his wildfire fighter exam and is now qualified to fight wildfires nationally
  • Crystal took and passed her ACLS!!!!!!!! Stand back! Now she can shock you and give you drugs!!
  • Crystal finished up two online courses at JMU related to nursing..
  • Eric is currently enjoying his EMT-B class in Elkton (he is considering whether to go for his paramedic or not)
  • We are currently in the 23 week of pregnancy and feeling great...save all the potty breaks and trouble sleeping at night

  • Baby Blosser is growing...now about 1.3 lbs and per the doctor, VERY ACTIVE!

  • We had fun registering for baby stuff at Target and Babies R Us- a new experience!

  • We decided on our nursery theme (since it is also our office and already decorated, this was easy :0) ) - we are doing African Safari in browns, tans, blacks, whites and sage

  • Eric has been feeling the baby kick since week 20

  • We are anxious for Christmas and seeing everyone!

  • Our home is decorated and it snowed this past week

  • Work is going well for us both - Eric stays cold now-a-days and Crystal is now the Anesthesia In Charge and OSHA officer at work

So I think that sums it up...at least for this segment...enjoy the pictures!

  • family vacation with Crystal's parents in Williamsburg - I think it flooded while we were there, at least we were drawing up ark plans
  • many long walks
  • many long hours at work
  • meeting Joel (Crystal's 2nd cousin's baby boy)
  • Eric's b-day on July 5
  • Finding out we are EXPECTING!
  • A trip to Italy for 2 weeks to work with Eric's old churches young adult retreat
  • Eric passing his national wildfire fighter's exam
  • Crystal taking 2 classes at JMU online
  • visiting Crystal's brother
  • Crystal's b-day on Sept 10
  • MUCH MUCH more!

Me and Aunt Lou

I have wanted to make this quilt for so long, and I finally finished it!
A true blessing followed in Aunt Lou's willingness to quilt it for me.
It will always be a treasure!

Dad's Big Game Hunt Banquet
was a great success...
Jeannette and I helped by decorating tables with antlers, leaves, poo and tracks...
Eric was the photographer...
Mom and I served...
and Dad had everyone tell stories!
Ok, ok...so maybe the turkey didn't leave "those" tracks...
This is more fun the hunting stories!
Deer Baloney and Goose Jerky
The Goose himself!!

Jesse...in Philly

We were excited this winter to spend a weekend with
Eric's brother Jesse,
who is studying at Temple University in Philly...
Yes, he is getting his MASTERs in MATH!
We enjoyed seeing "his town" and staying with
him and Cory (his housemate who is also a friend of ours).

Always time to sing Italian!

Jesse took us to several markets where he treated us to seafood...his style!

Happy and In love... :)

And we had to give her up...

As some of you may have heard,
our dear little Hundai met an unfortunate end...
Early one morning (back in Feb/March), we awoke to the doorbell...
to our surprise, it was a police officer letting us know someone had hit our car early that morning (around 0600).
-we rarely ever park on the street, but for other reasons we had to that night, and this is a street where "everyone" parks on the street!-
It turns out, it was an ederly gentleman whose windshield fogged up and he hit the car...
long story short,
he totaled the car...
BUT
God is so good!
Here are the blessings:
- we didn't have to renew our city stickers the next week or so
- we were just ready to change that oil...
- we paid $5,000 for the car 3 years ago and got an insurance check for $5,300!!!
God is soo GOOD!

Be My Valentine...

This year for Valentine Day,

We had a great evening celebrating love with some friends...
Sara and Crystal decorated Granddaddy Heatwole's basement and made the meal.

Each place setting had a special verse about God's love (something we often don't think of on Valentine's),

which we all took time to share with one another...

new news

Well, as the story goes...I once again can not load pictures...we figured out our camera is saving our pictures in too large of files for the blog and so until I resave all the pics I want to blog...you are stuck with this.
We are doing well around here, enjoying the warm weather until this nasty snow storm decided to show face :(
I start work in a week at the dentist office and am still selling Tupperware!!! Eric is still at Showalter Masonry.
When we have pics, we can show you some of our other escapades.

Until then...

Home...New...Home

Welcome to our new blog. We will try to post insights into our life every so often.
Hope you enjoy the pictures of our new house!
920 S. College Ave
We are loving being "home" again.
God is so good!
Eric is currently working for Showalter Masonary and doing well. He unfortunately did not get the forestry position (guess pacifists don't make good veterans...they said so many vets applied he didn't stand much of a chance). He is keeping his attitude and hopes high though, awaiting God's next move!
I am awaiting the answer to several interviews for RN positions. In the meantime, I am enjoying being a housewife, baking bread, making deserts for Eric's lunch, cleaning, and starting my Tupperware business
More to come later!
